Taxon grew out of years of experience valuing Belgian property. What began as an internal platform for sworn valuers, who value properties every day using data from the cadastre, EPC and public listings, has grown into a complete AVM and real estate data API platform for the entire Belgian property sector.
Schat mijn huis BV, founded in 2020 and based in Ieper, is the parent company behind Taxon. The Belgian company originally built Taxon as an internal platform for sworn valuers who value Belgian property and carry out property valuations across Belgium every day: from Flanders to Wallonia and Brussels.
After years of experience and thousands of valuation reports, it became clear that the data and technology collected had a much broader value. The detailed reference points, price maps and analysis tools proved valuable to the entire Belgian property sector.
That is why the decision was taken to open up the data and technology through APIs. This is how Taxon as it exists today came about: a complete API platform that gives property professionals, developers and financial institutions access to the most complete real estate data in Belgium.
